SOPHIA KATSOURA
Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Sophia graduated from University of Patras with a BA degree in Literature. Meanwhile, she began studying Film and Fine Arts, with activities ranging from graphic and architectural to abstract design. Her passion for arts led her to Amsterdam, where she got an MA Degree in Media and Film Studies, specialized in Film Noir and German Expressionism and later on to England where she gained an MA Degree in Production Design funded by IKY (the official Greek Scholarship Foundation).
She has worked in a variety of scenography/prop/model/costume environments, and is experienced as a production designer on short films, commercials and features. Furthermore, she has worked as a writer for various magazines and newspapers on film and history of art.
Sophia officially participated in Berlinale Talent Campus in February, 2009. She makes beautiful pictures…
