An independent arthouse thriller, Spaceships Over Corvallis twists together two alien stories: both the undocumented-worker "illegal alien" and the extra-terrestrial type. The first storyline is set in 2008 and stars Will Carlyle, a minor CIA agent involved in extraordinary rendition i.e. the deportation of U.S. citizens to foreign nations for illegal torture; the second tale takes place in Oregon in 1962 and features a frustrated housewife named Dorothy - and is at first glance a B-movie where evil flying saucers are attacking a small town.
Will discovers a terrible government secret; Dorothy invents a hush-hush weapon to battle her own little green men. Will and Dorothy's stories bleed into each other and affect the other's tale in moving and peculiar ways as their respective worlds and senses of safety crumble around them in an edgy, fast-paced and at the same time epic indie film.
